SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping cost are always paid by the buyer unless other arrangements have been made.

Free Shipping

Free Shipping is a discount that Featherweight Guy may apply to orders meeting certain qualifications during specified time periods.  Qualifications and time period for the Free Shipping discount are displayed in the banner at the top of the page on featherweightguy.com and described further at the Free Shipping page during time periods when this discount is being offered.  Free Shipping is not available at any other times. 

For our international customers: We do not offer international shipping at this time.

What shipping methods do you use?

All shipments are made through USPS or UPS, acting as third-party providers to Shopify.  Sewing machines are packed with the utmost care by Featherweight Guy, using new double-wall cardboard boxes with a 275 lb test rating.  Smaller items may be packed in alternate packaging, determined by Featherweight Guy.  Shipping cost is determined by Shopify based on the size, weight, and destination of the parcel.  For information on Shopify Shipping, please see Shopify Shipping

Please make sure your shipping address is entered correctly at the time of order.  If a package is returned to us with an insufficient or incorrect address, we will make contact with you for re-shipment.  However, due to the additional expense of shipping a second time, we may need to collect for postage.

When will my order ship?

In most cases, in-stock items are shipped within 1-2 business days following payment unless otherwise requested. Orders are processed in the order they are received. We strive to get your shipments processed within 1 or 2 business days, but during special promo times, holidays, etc. there may be some additional delays.  You will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail when your order has shipped. This confirmation will also include tracking information so you can track your parcel along the way.

NOTE:  Once a package is picked up or delivered by us to the Carrier/Shipping Company we do not have control over it. Carriers/Shipping Companies may advertise a typical delivery time for each service offered, but those delivery times are not guaranteed, and may actually take longer.  We are not privy to shipping time procedures and durations once parcel is placed in the care of the shipping company.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Please allow at least seven days for delivery to US addresses.  Often, packages will arrive sooner than seven days but we can not guarantee that. We strive to be in contact with you regarding your purchase throughout the packing and shipping process; communicating tracking information and any special circumstances surrounding your shipment. Machines are always given a final inspection and sewing test before they are packed so they typically do not ship out the same day as they are ordered.

If you opt for any special services with the Carrier/Shipping Company, we are not privy to shipping time procedures and durations once parcel is placed in the care of the Carrier/Shipping Company.  Parcels delayed by the Carrier/Shipping Company and arriving after the Carrier/Shipping Company time indication are not eligible for refunds, but please feel free to contact the Carrier/Shipping Company to present your case for delivery expectations and their services rendered. 


I live outside the USA, what do I need to know about international shipments?

Currently, we do not ship internationally.
